Brookline Teen Center - Advertisement
The Brookline Teen Center is a non-profit drop-in, out-of-school time facility offering an array of programs, activities and events that is delivered by an outstanding staff of volunteers and teens. The goal of the Brookline Teen Center is to transform lives by connecting members with the experiences, resources and supports they need to succeed both in and out of school.
Our goal as designers, will always be to solve quandaries and in the case of this particular project, my goal as the director was to communicate efficiently to the teenagers in the Brookline area. I also needed to get them involved and alert them of upcoming events and workshops in the area. The concept: " What's your passion?” was achieved by the team through research and learning the teenager’s like and dislikes. We, as a team apperceived that the teenagers of Brookline Mass tended to preferred colors and shapes. They also liked incipient urban hip-hop vibes, so as a team we came up with a great abstract concept. Optimally the abstract concept fits in with the colors of the Brookline teen center in and additionally visually appealing with their logo. Finally, the last step of this advertisement concept was to bring the communication aspect into it. There is no better way to reach a teen these days without a "hashtag", so we decided, as a team, to add #BTC into this advertisement, so the teens can interact on any social media outlet as a response to the design.
